Last week was full of adventure. Everything was prepared for catching of the tarsiers and installing the radio transmitters. We asked Carlito Pizzaras called the tarsier man to do this work. Every day we went together to the forest and within one week we were able to catch the animals.
We put the radio-collars with weight around 4g on their necks. We wanted to radio-collar neighbouring animals in one area so that we can observe their behaviour, especially social relationships. We go to the forest with radio receiver and antenna every day before sunset to look for our tarsiers. During this week we were able to do the first monitoring of the area that they use and we try to learn as much as possible about their life. During day we keep mapping the terrain and marking the points that we will use for orientation in the forest during night.
